NTFA DRAFT PROCESS
15 EVENTS 5 TEAMS 1 LEAGUE
Athletes who meet NTFA's competitive standards will be eligible for the official NTFA Draft.
Registration can be completed through the NTFA website [HERE].
The NTFA features competition across 15 track and field events:
Sprints & Distance: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5K
Hurdles: 100m Hurdles, 110m Hurdles, 400m Hurdles
Throws: Shot Put, Discus, Javelin
Jumps: Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Pole Vault
Each NTFA team will draft athletes from the talent pool, ensuring a balanced roster with equal representation of men and women across events.
While competing for your NTFA team, you will continue training with your personal coach.
NTFA Draft Qualifying Guidelines
To be eligible for the NTFA Draft, athletes must achieve qualifying performances within the following time frame:
Qualifying Period: January 1st, 2023 – December 25, 2025
Qualifying marks must meet USATF Rule 149 and be verified through one of the following:
USATF Sanctioned events
Events listed on the World Athletics Global Calendar
Marks recognized by World Athletics for statistical purposes
Additional guidelines for qualifying performances:
Hand times will not be accepted for qualifying marks.
Wind-assisted performances (above 2.0m/s) will not be considered.
No adjustments will be made for marks set at altitude.
All qualifying performances must be achieved in a USATF-sanctioned event within the 2024-2025 period.
Eligibility: Only U.S. citizens are eligible to compete in the NTFA and must be U.S. citizens on the date of Declaration for the 2025 NTFA Championships in any event.
Alternate events will not be accepted for qualifying marks.
